A head teacher leader says independent schools which enter pupils for International GCSES will create a two-tier, private-state system. John Dunford of the Association of School and College Leaders said the IGCSE name was a misleading marketing tool, as it was anything but a GCSE. His comments followed the announcement by independent Manchester Grammar that it was moving over entirely to IGCSEs.
